Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support secondary schools across the Wirral.

About the Role:

We are seeking LSAs to provide classroom and learning support to students across a range of subjects and abilities. You'll work alongside teachers to help students engage with their learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers to progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in lessons, 1:1 and in small groups
Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources
Help students stay focused and engaged with their learning
Provide support to students with additional learning needs
Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning
Build positive relationships with students and staff
Support interventions and targeted learning activities
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
A genuine passion for education and supporting students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A proactive and positive attitude
A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous experience working within a secondary school
Experience supporting students with SEND or behavioural needs
Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
Experience working in an education, youth work, sports, or childcare setting
