About Us
Belmont School is an independent specialist school providing education for boys aged 5–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated complex behaviours. The school operates as one community across two phases: a Primary Phase in Rossendale for students aged 5–11 and a Secondary Phase in Rawtenstall for students aged 11–18.
At Belmont, we provide a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where every student is understood, supported and encouraged to succeed. Through small classes, personalised learning pathways and therapeutic support, we help students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and resilience, and take pride in their achievements.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides opportunities for academic, vocational and creative development, alongside a strong focus on social development, independence and essential life skills. We work hard to nurture aspiration and equip our students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make a positive contribution to society and achieve a successful future.
With provision across both the Primary and Secondary phases, Belmont offers a genuinely joined-up educational journey, supporting students from their earliest years through to adulthood.
The school is easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bury, Burnley and the surrounding areas.
