The role:

Following successful external funding bids, Liverpool City Council are seeking 2 x Project Manager(s) – Transport for City Region these posts will provide managerial and technical support to the Commissioning and Project Delivery Team within Sustainable Transport, Highways and Parking Services working on Transport for City Region.

  • The post(s) will ensure that effective procurement and delivery of the Council’s ambitious Capital Programme, including highways maintenance and improvement works and projects, including public realm works and Transport for City Region funding is delivered through partnership working and contractual arrangements that provide effective, quality and value for money schemes.
  • Applicants should have a wide experience of Project Management and Contract Administration relating to highways construction projects, specifically NEC ECC, including managing human, material and financial resources and identifying and managing project benefits and risks.
  • Have relevant experience in a client or contractor role in a highway maintenance/major projects environment including all associated procedures, policies and responsibilities, with experience of HSEQ regulations and processes relating to construction projects
  • Experience of monitoring project spend and ensuring project expenditure and schedule are optimised and risks managed with an understanding of civils contract delivery mechanisms for highway related services.
