A growing construction business is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its pre-construction team.
With a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, the company delivers a diverse range of construction, refurbishment and specialist projects across both public and private sector clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their estimating function with the appointment of an ambitious and commercially aware Estimator
This opportunity would suit a established Estimator looking to take the next step in their career

Responsibilities:

• Preparing competitive and accurate tender submissions
• Reviewing specifications, drawings and tender documentation
• Producing take-offs and cost plans
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
• Assisting with bid submissions and tender presentations
• Liaising with operational, commercial and procurement teams
• Supporting successful project handovers following contract award

About You:

• Previous estimating experience within construction, refurbishment, fit-out, building services or a specialist subcontracting environment
• Experience pricing projects ranging from small works through to larger contract values
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
