Job Title:  Domestic Assistant - Part time
Location:  Underley Garden School, Kirkby Lonsdale LA6 2DZ
Hours:  15 hours per week | Monday to Friday |  Shifts 6am - 9am or 3pm - 6pm flexibility available.
Salary:  £8,864.25 per annum (not pro rata) + Travel allowance
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:  October 2026

What you will be doing

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, residential homes, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising spaces to create a safe and welcoming environment.
• Cleaning bathrooms, changing facilities and other essential areas.
• Replenishing consumables and ensuring supplies are well stocked.
• Reporting maintenance, health and safety or repair concerns.
• Working closely with colleagues to provide the best possible environment for students and staff.

About Us

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on students, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.

Our School adopts a holistic, person-centred approach to the development of our students and endeavours to ensure that they achieve as high a standard as possible. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of education and therapy to meet the individual requirements of students with complex special educational needs. At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
